What brought you to Urban Studies?: 

I was always passionate about education but also wanted to be well-rounded and study not just one specific field.  Urban studies is so interdisciplinary that you can study history, education, politics, and urban development all at the same time.

Education and Public Policy

Career/Career Ambitions: 

I want to do Teach for America when I graduate, get a degree in public policy/administration and become the next Wendy Kopp, Richard Barth, or Geoffrey Canada.

Memorable experiences as a major: 

Taking a class in a maximum security unit at PICC

Research Interests: 

Education reform, especially examining the success of charter schools; did research for Professor Eric Schneider on homicide cases in the 1940s in Philadelphia
