Visual Studies students awarded summer research grants

The Visual Studies Program has awarded summer research grants to four faculty members who will each work with a Visual Studies undergraduate: David Comberg (Design) with Lily Kravetz (’17), Holly Pittman (History of Art) with Caroline Miller (’19), Orkan Telhan (Design) with Konhee Chang (’17) and Adam Reid (’17), and Ian Verstegen (Visual Studies) with Sarah Holland (’18). 

In addition the following Visual Studies majors will conduct independent research projects: Araba Ankuma photographing in Chicago and Los Angeles, Estee Ellis working on virtual reality in Silicon Valley, and Siyona Ravi researching the visual component of social movements in Sweden.  

All grants are made possible by the Visual Studies term fund.
