Visual Studies students awarded summer research grants

This summer, the Visual Studies program has awarded four independent research projects and one on-campus internship to Visual Studies majors. 

Bianca Jimenez will photographically document the Dreamweavers of South Cotabato, Philippines. Elizabeth Horner is studying brain trauma treatment and the design of rehabilitative spaces in Finland. Sarah Holland is researching and producing a nutrition text for college age adults. Lucy Nebeker will produce a documentary about health information visualization. Sarah Thomas was awarded an internship with Dr. Ian Verstegen researching the archival sources of the life of the pioneer of the psychology of art, Rudolf Arnheim.
