语法复习：

1. 一边…，一边…: two simultanuous actions performed by the same subject.

他常常一边吃饭一边看电视。

我们可以一边喝咖啡一边聊天。

2. 正在 + verb: in the middle of doing something

我妈妈现在正在睡觉。

3. A+action1的时候，B正在+action2: action 1 occurs while action 2 is in progress

昨天晚上我给他打电话的时候，他正在看书。

4. Serial verbs：means (1^st verb) to achieve an end (2^nd verb)
• 去餐厅吃早饭；到图书馆去学习；来我家玩
• 用中文写日记；用电脑学中文

5. Double objects：only limited verbs can take two objects

请你给我一瓶啤酒。 王老师教我们中文。

我想问你一个问题。 他没告诉我他的名字。(didn’t tell)

小白请我帮他一个忙。 老师考我们生词

6. 除了…以外，还+ verb (in addition to…, …also…)

除了第八课的生词以外，还有第九课的生词。

除了中文以外，我还会说日文和英文。

7. can: 能 v.s. 会
1. 能: have the ability, willingness and resources to do something
2. 会: have the skill to do something

我能喝二十瓶啤酒。

我会说英文，可是上中文课的时候我不能说英文。

8. …以前/…以后: before…/after…

四点钟以后我没空儿。

请你睡觉以前给我打电话。

9. 已经 + verb了。(already finished doing sth.)

我已经告诉你了。

10. 开始的时候…，后来…。(at the beginning…, later…)

开始的时候我不习惯写汉字，后来我可以用中文写日记。
