  1. Read the middle paragraph of “A Letter” (TB p.196 pinyin version or p.197 character version)
  2. Have a spontaneous conversation with your laoshi on the following topics:

a)      Answer your laoshi’s questions about the aspects of your Chinese study, and what you find difficult or easy about the language. Think about the following aspects: grammar, vocabulary, Chinese characters, reading texts, speaking Chinese, and listening to the recordings.

b)      Answer your laoshi’s questions about your daily activities—getting up, taking a shower, eating breakfast/lunch/dinner, going to class, and going to sleep—and what time you usually do these things.

Homework: 1) Listen to the letter and read out aloud after the recording; 2) CWB pp.99-102 & p.103: Crossword puzzle
