These circular molds are used to impress floral patterns onto foods such as sweets or mango strips. Both surfaces are decorated with delicate patterns of flowers, leaves, and vines. The sweets are made of milk products and sugar, and are sometimes embellished with nuts, raisins, colored rice or grated coconut. They are rolled into flat shapes and pressed on the mold to decorate their upper surface. These sweets can be offered to the household deity during puja.
