Purposes
1.
After the completion of
the MISEP program, I will gain a deeper understanding of various
sciences including biology, chemistry, and physics. I hope to
teach science more in-depth, continue to channel more knowledge
to
my students, and initiate school-wide science activities.
Being back in school full-time last summer and
thinking like a learner allowed me to identify with my students
better this past school year. I reacquainted myself as a learner,
which helped me to
understand my students' needs and thoughts better. I
have also been able to
bring new ideas and knowledge that I gained from the program to my
school and into my classroom.
At the completion of the program,
I hope to bring more new ideas and possible science-oriented
school-wide
and/or
district-wide events to my school.
2.
In order to
be more confident in
the sciences I teach, I strive to deepen my understanding of various
science concepts. As I learn more about the human body systems,
the Earth and universe, and force and motion, I am able to channel more
accurate information to my 5th graders.
