Daniella Sanchez Russo

Ph.D. Candidate, Hispanic Studies

I am currently in my second year of graduate school in the Hispanic Studies department at Upenn. My intellectual interests include 20th and 21st Century Latin American Literature, with emphasis on the representations of domestic servitude in the context of the emergence of neoliberalism in the continent. I am actually exploring these representations in authors like Rosario Castellano, Clarice Lispector and Elena Poniatowska, vis-à-vis feminist theories, post colonialism and Marxism.
