Spanish and Portuguese- Students in their final year at Penn who have completed three courses at the 1000 to 3000 level are eligible to apply for the Language Certificate in Spanish.
- At least two of these courses must be taken in the department at Penn.
- One course credit given through the AP or IB HIgher Level exams can count toward the certificate as a course not taken at Penn.
- Only courses taught in Spanish count toward the Certificate.
- An average grade of "B+" or above is required across all three courses.
- Courses must be taken for a letter grade to count toward the Certificate.
- To apply for the certificate, please fill out the Certificate Request form available on the PATH Forms page. If approved, the certificate will be posted to the student's transcript within three weeks.
