Graduation Regalia

The Penn Bookstore is pleased to serve as the University's official academic regalia provider for all graduates and participating faculty, marshals, and trustees.

Obtaining your academic regalia

Bachelor's & master's degree candidates

Degree candidates may purchase and receive their commencement regalia at the Penn Bookstore on March 18, 19, and 20, 2020. The regalia will be yours to own as a commemorative keepsake. Regalia will be distributed on the second level of the Penn Bookstore near the textbook department. You will have the opportunity to try on your regalia and speak with staff members regarding any questions.

Purchase price (GreenWeaver cap, gown, hood, and tassel):

  • Bachelor’s: $79.00 plus tax
  • Master’s: $86.00 plus tax

Use this site starting on March 30th to order your regalia and have it shipped directly to your home address. (Regalia must be ordered by April 24, 2020, to allow for shipping.) 

Faculty and staff

Faculty and staff of the University can also purchase or rent regalia through the Bookstore. To discuss various purchase/rental options, please call the Penn Bookstore at (215) 898-7595 or email

Rental regalia distribution and return

Rental regalia for all candidates will be distributed at the Penn Bookstore through May 18, 2020. Rental regalia must be returned by noon on Tuesday, May 19, 2020.
