Faculty Win Top Paper Honors

A number of faculty have been recognized for recent publications.

The 2013 Best Paper Award from the Journal of Politics was awarded to professors Matt Levendusky and Michael Horowitz for their article "When Backing Down Is the Right Decision: Partisanship, New Information, and Audience Costs." 

Professor Guy Grossman received Honorable Mention on The Sage Paper Award for Best Paper in Comparative Politics presented at the 2012 APSA annual meeting for his paper “Do Selection Rules Affect Leader Responsiveness? Evidence from Rural Uganda.”

Professor Grossman also received Honorable Mention for the Best Political Sociology Article published in 2012 by the American Sociology Association for his paper, “The Impact of Elections on Cooperation: Evidence from a Lab-in-the-Field Experiment in Uganda” published in the American Journal of Political Science with Delia Baldassarri.
