PhD students Danielle Hanley and Zachary Smith have been awarded the Dean’s Award for Distinguished Teaching by a Graduate Student. The Dean's Award seeks to recognize teaching that is intellectually rigorous, exceptionally coherent, and that has considerable impact upon students.

PhD student Hajer Al-Faham has been named a 2018 Fox-Perry Fellow. Through this program, Al-Faham will have the opportunity to engage in interfaith service-learning throughout the Philadelphia area.

Assistant Professor Yue Hou's research on government responsiveness in China was recently cited in a New York Times piece.

On Wednesday, February 14, Political Science faculty professor Ryan Brutger, Guy Grossman, Matt Levendusky, Dawn Teele, and Alex Weisiger participated in a Penn Arts & Science Knowledge by the Slice lunchtime panel, where they discuessed a range of domestic and foreign policy issues facing the Trump administration as it enters its second year.

Graduate Student Eunji Kim has won the 2018 Top Paper Award from the Political Communication Division of the International Communication Association for her paper "Switching On and Off: Rethinking Partisan Selective Exposure" (with Jin Woo Kim). This award recognizes the best paper presented by anyone at this years ICA conference, and is a highly competitive prize. Congratulations Eunji!
