Institutional Research and Application Development
IRAD is responsible for the areas of Institutional Research, Application Development, and IT support in the division
offices. Each of the IRAD areas works extensively with data in the University Data Warehouse.
IRAD creates web enabled database applications for administrative clients in the School of Arts and Sciences. One of IRAD's areas of expertise is in incorporating data from the University source systems into SAS databases. IRAD also provides consulting and assistance to departments seeking to develop their own desktop data systems utilizing tools such as Microsoft Access. In the Institutional Research area, IRAD provides data retrieval and analysis services to School of Arts and Sciences administrators. Institutional Research conducts numerous cyclical studies on teaching and majors. IRAD also administers the course evaluation process.
