Master of Chemistry Education Program (MCEP)
- This program is a collaborative initiative of the Department of Chemistry and the Graduate School of Education and has been in existence since 2000. It is designed for secondary science educators wishing to increase their chemistry content background. A mix of chemistry, biology, and physics or physical science teachers are found in each of the cohort classes. Cohorts 1-5 have now graduated, Cohort 6 is finishing up and expecting to receive either a December 2007 or May 2008 degree, and Cohorts 7 and 8 are currently taking courses. At this point, there are only two more cohorts that will earn MCE degrees -- Cohort 9 starting Summer 2008 and Cohort 10 starting Summer 2009. Time is running out... if you or colleagues are interested in the MCE Program, now is the time to apply! More information about this program can be found using the link in the left sidebar -- MCEP
