MCEP qualified applicants... However, we are no longer accepting any new cohorts or taking any new applications...
- are teaching chemistry, biology, physics and/or physical science in a high school
- have successfully completed a minimum of one year of college level General Chemistry for science majors which includes a full laboratory component
- are highly motivated, hard working and organized – taking graduate courses while working is a challenge!
- have a relatively new computer and cable modem or DSL internet access in their home
- are able to attend Monday - Friday classes during the summer (last week of June through third week of August) and Saturday classes during the school year.
- While a state teaching certificate is NOT required, realize that this is NOT a certification program. The MCEP will allow you to add chemistry certification to an existing certificate (after passing the PRAXIS).

MCEP Applicants would have needed to supply:
- an official transcript of all college chemistry coursework. Transcript(s) must demonstrate satisfactory completion of a minimum of 2 semesters of college level General Chemistry for science majors. Also, you are expected to submit official transcripts for graduate degrees already held.
- a completed application form which includes
- Photocopies of teaching certificates
- Written responses to four essay questions
- For Core Partner applicants, a building administrator “partner” who agrees to attend the Administrators’ Science Education Academy
- If necessary, the building administrator’s completed information sheet which contains two essay questions
- Two (2) letters of reference (one from your building administrator partner)
- a short interview will be held with each completed applicant during mid-November, mid-January or mid-March. Apply NOW and lock-up your spot!
MISEP qualified applicants...
- are teaching middle grades (5 – 8) science in an elementary or middle school or ninth grade physical science
- have successfully completed a minimum of one semester of college science and one semester of college math – or can provide evidence of equivalent content background gained in an academic situation
- are highly motivated, hard working and organized – taking graduate courses while working is a challenge!
- have a relatively new computer and cable modem or DSL internet access in their home
- are able to attend Monday - Friday classes during the summer (last week of June through third week of August) and Saturday classes during the school year.
- While a state teaching certificate is NOT required, realize that this is NOT a certification program. The MISEP will allow you to add middle grades science certification to an existing certificate (after passing the PRAXIS or through PA alternative means).

MISEP Applicants would have needed to supply:
- an official transcript of all college coursework. Transcript(s) must demonstrate satisfactory completion of a minimum of 1 semester of math and 1 semester of science. Also, you are expected to submit official transcripts for graduate degrees already held.
