Ellen Furxhi

As Chief of Staff, Ms. Furxhi assists the Dean in maintaining an overview of School activities, serves as a senior advisor to the Dean, and provides support on matters of School governance, short- and long-range planning, and a variety of special projects. She is a liaison between the Dean and several School and University offices and oversees the operations of the Office of the Dean, including its Division of Faculty Affairs.

Ms. Furxhi came to Penn Arts & Sciences after serving as Chief of Staff to the Deputy Dean at the Wharton School since 2021. There she was the primary administrative lead, providing comprehensive support on all academic matters and overseeing faculty affairs and institutional research. Her previous experience also includes two roles at Harvard University, as Assistant Dean for the Division of Arts and Humanities in the Faculty of Arts and Sciences, and as Director of Administration in the Department of Epidemiology at the Harvard T. H. Chan School of Public Health.
